ONE FUTURE
Giving children ONE FUTURE
If we can offer children a good education instead of being forced to work, we believe it will be a positive change towards a better future and a more beautiful world.
Preventing child labor
Children around the world are often used as a cheap workforce. Around the world, children aged between 5 and 17 are working, of which 152 million are the victim of child labor. Almost half of them, 73 million, work in hazardous environments. This denies them the opportunity for a normal childhood and education. Child labor is primarily concentrated in agriculture ( 71%), followed by services (17%) and the industrial sector including mining (12%). Due to the often uncontrolled and unsafe work environments, they are involved in hazardous activities that put their lives in danger on a daily basis, and their health at risk.
- 152 Million children are the victim of child labor worldwide, 2% of the world population
- 73 Million children work in hazardous child labor worldwide, 1% of the world population
