ONE FUTURE
Helping keep children in school
At AmmanyA we believe, and as has been proven, that a key pillar in changing children and young people’s ONE FUTURE is through supporting education.
Provide access to good schooling
263 million children, adolescents and youth are out of school worldwide. This is split between 63 million of primary school children aged 6-11, 61 million of lower secondary school children aged 12-14 and 139 million young people at upper secondary school aged 15-17. In many developing countries there are children who do not have access to an education due to inequalities that relate to gender, health or poverty. Especially children who come from a poor or disadvantaged background are often forced to leave school and work in order to help support their family. One of the most significant differences lies in the belief that boys are more entitled to an education than girls, which leads to more girls than boys having to leave school. Lack of schooling and poor education have negative effects on a country’s economy and general wellbeing of the population.
